As of October 12th, 2026, Hyas Point has accumulated roughly 400,000 man-hours. Featuring four residential buildings, a splash pad, and stunning views of the Columbia River, Hyas Point has become a project we cannot stop talking about. With the first steps of closeout beginning, we sat down with the team to hear their updates and reflections. Building C will be the first building to turn over, with current efforts focused on commissioning, punch list completion, and closeout documentation. Although the finish line is in sight, the work is still far from over. Building turnovers will happen one by one, with the final building of Phase One, Building A, projected to be finished by March 15th, 2027.
Associate Project Manager Prudence Eca-Mizose has been on this project since the start, watching it transform from a vision on paper into an almost completed community. When asked what being part of a project of this scale has meant to him, Eca-Mizose said: “It’s been a huge learning experience. Seeing four buildings take shape at once and coordinating dozens of trades, owners, and consultants has really shone a light on the importance of coordination and getting everyone on the same page early.” That collaborative mindset has been a defining part of the project from day one. Throughout planning and construction, the team has stayed connected, tackled challenges as they came up, and found solutions together to keep the project moving forward.
An Unforgettable View
With the Columbia River just steps away, Hyas Point offers no shortage of scenic views. Prudence, however, had a clear favorite: “Building C terrace, overlooking the splash pad.” The splash pad sits nestled between Building C and the river, making it one of the project’s most unforgettable views. Standing on the terrace, it's easy to imagine future residents and families gathering along the waterfront and enjoying everything the community has to offer. While today it may still look like an active construction site, moments like this remind us of what the space will ultimately become: a place hundreds of people will call home.
Building Momentum
Our single busiest day was January 22nd, 2026, when 285 people were onsite as the team kicked off the new year with a bang. On a project of this magnitude, careful planning, coordination, and scheduling are critical to success. Through the dedication of the project team, Hyas Point remains on schedule and is projected to be completed within its original timeline.
As the project continues toward closeout in the coming months, crews remain focused on the finishing touches, including paving the waterfront walking path, completing splash pad finishes, and conducting thorough quality reviews throughout every building. No detail is too small as the team works to bring Hyas Point across the finish line. We look forward to continuing to share updates and project milestones from Hyas Point across all LMC social media channels.
