Laurel Parc at Bethany Village is a senior living community that integrates independent living, assisted living, and memory care within a connected, multi-building campus. Phase II of the project involved the ground-up construction of a five-story, 80,000-square-foot addition, adding 69 new residential units. This new structure was seamlessly tied into the existing buildings at four levels using seismic joints, ensuring both safety and continuity across the facility.
A major component of Phase II was the addition of Laurel Parc’s dedicated Memory Care facility, designed to provide a secure and supportive environment. The memory care wing includes three distinct pods, offering a total of 23 units tailored to residents’ specific needs.
The project also introduced a rooftop patio featuring elevated pavers, planters, trellises, glass railings, and a fire pit, creating a vibrant outdoor space for residents to enjoy. A new Wellness Center was constructed as part of the expansion, offering a comprehensive suite of health and fitness amenities. This includes three swimming pools, locker rooms, a bamboo-floored exercise room with a ballet bar, a weights room, and a state-of-the-art salt therapy room built with natural salt blocks.
One of the most significant challenges during construction was maintaining full operations of the existing Laurel Parc facility, which remained fully occupied throughout the build. Additionally, the site’s proximity to a densely populated condominium community with shared access required careful coordination to minimize disruption and ensure safety for all residents and neighbors.
