Cathedral Village is a 110-unit affordable housing development located in the St. Johns neighborhood of North Portland. Designed to serve families and individuals across a range of income levels, the project includes a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The development was built on a 1.21-acre site and includes eight units of Permanent Supportive Housing for individuals and families impacted by homelessness. The site is well-connected to local parks, transit, and community amenities, and includes shared spaces to support resident engagement and services.
The project was developed through a partnership between Related Northwest and Catholic Charities, with a focus on equitable access to housing for communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and low-income households. Construction was completed in 2022, with the design emphasizing long-term durability, energy efficiency, and community integration. On-site services include case management, youth programming, and financial empowerment resources, helping residents build stability and connection within the neighborhood.
