Cedar Grove is a four-story, 44-unit affordable housing development located on NW Cornell Road in Beaverton, Oregon. Developed by Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH), the project is the first regulated affordable housing community in the city specifically designated to serve homeless families. The building includes a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with eight units reserved for families transitioning out of homelessness. The site features a courtyard park with play structures, a lending library, and the first mini-park in the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, which includes a seasonal splash pad.
Completed in 2021, the 39,371-square-foot building was constructed using a design-assist delivery method and achieved Earth Advantage Platinum certification. The project incorporates sustainable features such as a rooftop solar array, high-efficiency windows, heat pump systems, and on-demand hot water. The design also integrates trauma-informed principles to support residents’ well-being. Cedar Grove reflects a collaborative effort to address housing insecurity in Washington County, combining thoughtful design, supportive services, and long-term affordability in a walkable, transit-accessible location.
