Novus Apartments is a four-story, 84-unit mixed-use residential development located in Portland’s Woodstock neighborhood. Completed in December 2022, the project includes a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from 443 to 1,272 square feet. Sixteen of the apartments feature Ori Studio technology, modular, transformable furniture systems that optimize space for sleeping, working, or entertaining. The building also includes 1,972 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, now home to local businesses including a Filipino bakery and a plant shop. On-site amenities include a resident lounge, coffee bar, and a landscaped courtyard with a fire-pit and grills.
The project was developed by Urban Asset Advisors and designed by Scott Edwards Architecture. The design emphasizes modern finishes such as stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and oversized windows, while also incorporating sustainable and efficient building systems. The project team included structural, civil, and geotechnical engineers, as well as specialists in acoustics, HVAC, and landscape design. Novus Apartments contributes to the ongoing revitalization of the Woodstock corridor, offering high-quality housing and retail in a walkable, transit-accessible neighborhood.
