Plaza Los Amigos is a 113-unit affordable housing development located on a three-acre site in Cornelius, Oregon. The project includes a four-story residential building with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments designed to serve families and individuals at 30% and 60% of the area median income. Sixteen of the units are supported by project-based vouchers and reserved for individuals transitioning out of homelessness. The development also includes a manager’s unit and features 146 parking spaces, a covered multi-use court, and a community park that connects to the future Council Creek regional trail.
The site was developed with input from local community members and includes amenities such as on-site laundry, a large community room, case management offices, and outdoor gathering spaces. Streetscape improvements and traffic control measures were incorporated to enhance safety and walkability. The project was funded through a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Metro Affordable Housing Bond funds, and other public and private sources. Plaza Los Amigos reflects a commitment to equitable development, with a focus on serving diverse households and supporting long-term community stability.
