Sequoia Crossings is a 60-unit Permanent Supportive Housing development located in northeast Salem, Oregon. The project includes 54 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom apartments, designed to serve individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness. Twenty of the units are supported by state-funded PSH rental assistance, while the remaining 40 units are covered by Project-Based Vouchers through the Section 8 program. The site includes a community room, on-site services, and landscaped outdoor spaces, all designed to support long-term housing stability and resident well-being. The development is located near transit and essential services, providing residents with improved access to healthcare, employment, and community resources.
Developed by the Salem Housing Authority in partnership with Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency and other local organizations, Sequoia Crossings was completed in early 2024. The project was designed with trauma-informed principles and includes features that promote safety, accessibility, and community integration. Referrals for the PSH units are made through the local Coordinated Entry system, ensuring that the most vulnerable individuals are prioritized for housing. The development reflects a regional commitment to addressing homelessness through permanent, service-enriched housing solutions.
